Contest rules
The integration horror story contest on deadapis.dev. Free to enter, no purchase needed.
1. Organizer
Apideck BV, Kammenstraat 43 bus 301, 2000 Antwerp, Belgium ("Apideck"). Questions: privacy@apideck.com.
2. When
The contest runs from 29 October 2026 until 31 October 2026 at 23:59 Central European Time. Candles lit after that moment don't count.
3. Who can enter
Anyone aged 18 or older, except Apideck employees and their immediate families. The contest is void where it is prohibited by law.
4. How to enter
- Bury an integration on deadapis.dev with a horror story and an email address we can use to reach you. Graves without a story or email can't win.
- Stories must be your own, written in English, and must not contain names of people, customer data, confidential information, offensive content or anything that infringes someone else's rights.
- Apideck may remove any entry that breaks these rules, without notice.
5. How the winner is chosen
- Visitors light candles: one candle per visitor per grave.
- The eligible entry with the most candles when the contest closes wins. If entries tie, the one submitted first wins.
- Entries that gain candles through bots, scripts, paid votes or other manipulation are disqualified. Apideck's decision on this is final.
6. The prize
One gift card worth USD 200 (or the equivalent in local currency) for an online store chosen by Apideck. The prize can't be exchanged for cash or transferred. Any taxes on the prize are the winner's responsibility. One prize per person.
7. Telling the winner
We email the winner within 7 days after the contest closes. If the winner doesn't reply within 14 days, or isn't eligible, the prize goes to the next eligible entry. With the winner's permission we may announce their first name or handle together with the winning grave.
8. Using your story
By entering, you allow Apideck to publish your grave and story on deadapis.dev and to share, excerpt and quote it on its website and social channels, without payment and without naming you. You confirm the story is yours and that publishing it doesn't break any confidentiality obligation. You can ask us to remove your grave at any time.
9. Your data
The Apideck privacy policy explains how we use the data you give us. Email privacy@apideck.com to see, correct or delete your entry.
10. Everything else
Apideck may change or cancel the contest if something outside its control prevents it from running fairly, and will say so on this page. To the extent the law allows, Apideck isn't liable for technical problems that stop an entry or candle from being recorded. These rules are governed by Belgian law.
